Caring for your pet
shouldn't feel overwhelming

A compassionate medication management app for pet parents navigating health journeys. Built by a caregiver who managed 10+ medications across two dogs — and was exhausted by every app that existed. Because you deserve to feel supported, not judged.

Intelligent Scheduling

Traditional apps ignore reality. Ours adapts to it.

When your dog refuses that pill pocket and you finally get the medication down 90 minutes late, most apps still show the next dose at the original time. For heart medications that need 12-hour spacing, that's not just annoying — it's potentially unsafe. I built the scheduling engine I desperately needed.

  • Automatically recalculates safe intervals — this is a safety feature, not convenience
  • No mental math when you're exhausted
  • Notifications adjust with the schedule — automatically

Compassionate Design

"Needs Attention" — never "OVERDUE"

Every app we tried made us feel like failures. Red alerts. Judgment. Clinical compliance tracking. We were already doing everything humanly possible — and the tools meant to help were adding to our stress. So I filtered every word, every notification, every design decision through one question: will this make the pet parent feel supported or judged?

  • Warm language because you're exhausted, not careless
  • Built by someone who knows you're doing your best
  • The answer is always "supported"

Health Monitoring

The tools your vet wishes you had

Sleeping Respiratory Rate tracking is just one of the health monitoring tools built into NurturedPet — recommended by veterinary cardiologists for pets with heart conditions. Simply hold the screen as your pet breathes, and the app does the math: calculating averages, tracking trends over time, and building a history you can share with your vet. But it doesn't stop at numbers. The Care Companion watches for pattern changes — and if something looks concerning, it gently suggests scheduling a vet visit or seeking immediate attention. No alarms. No panic. Just compassionate guidance when it matters most.

  • Hold-to-count does the math — tracks averages and trends automatically
  • AI detects patterns and alerts you compassionately if something changes
  • Vet-ready reports with real data, not vague guesses

Smart Sharing

Context-aware sharing that just works.

Don't ask "what style?" — ask "who's this for?" The boarding facility needs vaccination records. Your pet sitter needs the medication schedule. Lost pet finder needs YOUR phone number.

  • Boarding → Vaccination records + emergency contact
  • Pet Sitter → Complete medication schedule
  • Lost Pet → Your phone number (huge)

Safety First

Bailey ate chocolate. Now what?

Say it out loud. NurturedPet instantly recognizes toxicity emergencies and helps you act fast — because every second counts when your pet eats something dangerous. The Care Companion leverages your location and vet information from your pet's profile to provide contact info and directions to your pet's primary care vet. If it's not in the system, it uses Apple Maps and GPS to find the phone number and directions to the closest emergency hospital.

  • Instant emergency detection from natural speech
  • ASPCA Poison Control number ready: (888) 426-4435
  • GPS directions to nearest emergency vet hospital
  • Your vet's number, one tap away

Why We Built This

A personal story of love, loss, and building better tools

Queen and Ace - the dogs who inspired NurturedPet

Where It Started

It Started with Ace

Ace was a Yorkiepoo who lived 17 beautiful years. He was healthy for most of his life, though his final year was his hardest. But Ace was never "just a pet." He was my everything.

For 17 years, he was there through every season of life. Happy moments, difficult ones, illness, healing, and everything in between. He was my constant, my comfort, and my anchor. No matter what was happening, Ace was there.

As he aged, his care became more involved. He faced serious health challenges, including cancer and vision issues, and it required intentional, daily attention. It wasn't easy, but we did everything we could for him, every step of the way. His care was an act of love, and he was never alone.

Losing Ace was devastating. Even now, it still hurts. His life, and the love we shared, changed us forever. This journey, and the care he needed in his final chapter, is what planted the seed for everything that followed.

— Andrea Jackson-Chisholm Pet Parent

And then came Queen, a rescue poodle with degenerative mitral valve disease. Suddenly we were managing medications for two dogs: Ace with his age-related needs, and Queen with her heart condition requiring daily Pimobendan, Enalapril, and more.

💔

The Breaking Point

We looked for a pet medication app that could actually help us. There weren't many, and the ones we found felt like they were built for someone else. Most were either clinical trackers with no warmth, or storefronts trying to sell pet food, insurance, or medications. None of them felt like they were made with real pet owners in mind.

"You're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix. You feel guilty when you're not managing their care. You feel guilty when you ARE managing their care because you resent it sometimes. And underneath all of it is love. A relentless, exhausting, beautiful love for an animal who can't tell you how they're feeling."

The tools meant to help were adding to our stress. Red alerts, rigid schedules, judgment baked into every screen. That's when I knew I had to build something different.

Honoring Ace, Caring for Queen

Ace passed at 17, a testament to his good bloodline and the exceptional care we gave him together. But my wife was devastated. This wasn't just losing a pet. She lost the companion who had been her constant through her own health struggles, through trauma, through the hardest seasons of life.

Queen still needs us. Her heart disease means daily medications, and I needed a better way to manage her care. So I started building NurturedPet for us. An app that worked the way we actually needed it to, built around Queen's real schedule and our real lives. My wife saw what it was becoming and said I should share it with other pet parents. That's when it became something bigger.

Built from Heart and Code

NurturedPet isn't just compassionate. It's intelligent. I poured everything into building a Living Companion system: cutting-edge neural technology that actually understands what you're going through. Not a chatbot with canned responses. A genuine AI companion that knows your pet's medications, recognizes patterns, and speaks to you like a knowledgeable friend who cares.

The technology serves the soul. Every algorithm, every notification, every interaction is filtered through one question: will this make the pet parent feel supported or judged? The answer is always supported. Because you cannot care for a sick pet if you're running on empty, and you deserve tools that lift you up, not wear you down.

Voice Companion

You're measuring liquid gabapentin in an oral syringe with one hand and holding your dog still with the other. You can't tap a screen. Just say "Log Queen's Vetmedin" and it's done. Voice-first logging, spoken reminders in a warm human voice, and conversational support when you need it.

CareReach

Sometimes a notification isn't enough. CareReach actually calls your phone — like a caring friend checking in. "Hey, Queen's heart medication is ready." Escalating reminders that break through the chaos of real life, because some medications can't wait.

Medication Intelligence

A built-in database of 100+ pet medications, each with up to 5 spoken insights: what it does, how to give it, what to watch for, safety notes, and surprising facts. The AI checks for drug interactions when you add new meds, delivers personalized guidance based on your pet's profile, and helps you actually understand what your pet is taking.

Proactive Health Insights

Pattern detection across your pet's health data. The AI notices trends you might miss and helps you prepare for vet conversations.

"I've noticed Queen's sleeping respiratory rate has increased slightly over the past week. This might be worth mentioning at your next vet visit."

Early Feedback

What beta testers are saying

Finally, an app that gets it. When I gave Max's medication 3 hours late because work was chaos, it didn't scream at me. It just quietly adjusted and showed me the new schedule. I actually teared up.
